Dr. Licari has been teaching both Management and Marketing at St. John’s University and is the Director of the Fashion Institute and helped create the Fashion Studies major. Her family worked in both the garment and hospitality industries and she has always been interest in Fair Trade. She is part of the Fair Trade Committee at St. John’s University and her students have worked on the marketing aspects of Fair Trade: Campus Marketing Campaigns. She taught at Fashion Institute of Technology- NY State University, and Parson’s School of Design. She has worked and taught in France, Spain, Italy and Hungary. Her research interests are in the field of Economic Sustainable Development Using a Fashion District Model. Dr. Licari is both a Fulbright scholar and a United States Study Center (USSC) scholar. She is also a university career coach and a mentor for student career decisions.
