Optional Carbon Offset Donation
Fair Trade Campaigns is offering attendees the opportunity to offset the carbon associated with their hotel stay and travel to and from the event. Fair Trade Campaigns recognizes that events can have both a positive and negative impact on the communities in which they’re located. They can boost the local economy, but they can also leave behind waste and generate greenhouse gas emissions, which results in a big carbon footprint.

The 2019 Fair Trade Campaigns National Conference, in conjunction with the Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF), is making it easy for attendees to offset their carbon through the registration process. Your additional $10 purchase of one carbon offset represents the reduction of greenhouse gases equal to one metric ton (or 2,205 pounds) of CO2. By contributing to BEF’s Carbon Offset portfolio, you will be supporting a range of projects that include: agriculture methane capture, grasslands conservation, improved forest management, and renewable energy production.
