Second generation grower and now President of Covilli, Alex led the company to become the first 100% Organic and Fair Trade grower and marketer in the U.S. Under him, the company has brought in partner-growers, which has allowed to them offer more diverse products.
Alex’s main motivators are to transform the food system into a more equitable one; the well-being of all the workers that makeup the company from the farm to the administrators; and to uplift the livelihoods of partner-growers and their workers.
