Sustainability Manager
Olga Borquez is the Sustainability Manager for Wholesum, an Organic and Fair Trade grower/shipper. She manages the sustainability programs for different facilities which include farms, warehouse and offices. Programs she manages include data tracking, water and energy conservation, biodiversity restoration, grant applications, packaging innovation, community volunteer projects, etc. She has spearheaded several organizational initiatives such as the alignment of the company to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, strategically choosing to initially put their efforts towards 4 SDG’s: Gender Equality, Clean Water and Sanitation, Responsible Consumption and Production and Climate Action.
Olga grew up in Mexico in a family of farmers, she then studied sustainability and business at Arizona State University. During her studies, she interned in government, private, and non-profit entities. This broad background gives her a well-rounded view of the system as a whole to develop sustainable strategies for Wholesum
